Great stuff! My son and I have talked about the use of a space elevator and it was fun to see it play out in this war. The big Alien bad guys were also fun to listen to as they tried to figure those puny humans out!

All seems bleak and dismal facing a formidable enemy that is technologically superior and has an empire that spans eons of light-years across; but luckily for humanity, there is one ace in the hole, Master Sergeant Sorilla! This installment was my most favorite yet. The creative action began on the very first page and didn't stop until the very last.

Sorilla is the most fiercely b Simply Superb! Sorilla is the most fiercely battle-skilled heroine I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. I was continually excited and awed by the tactics displayed during battle, be it planet-side or in the vacuum of space. I was taken on a high-adventure ride that just kept going and going; I loved this book so much I could not put it down.

Not one part of the story was cheesy but instead, takes you back to basics of motherfrakking ass-kicking My respect for this series just exploded a notch up. Just when I thought I've read it all, this author delivered a splendid SciFi-action novel that flowed well from one death defying mission to the next.

I highly recommend this book to fellow SF readers and I can't for the next book The Valhalla Call due out in ; which will be a bitter sweet release, since it's the last book in the series. To fellow dark urban fantasy readers who are looking for a good space opera but do not want to end up with a space romance, I also recommend this series to you. The fleet action also winds up with the alien alliance sending a real flotilla to expulse these bothersome and primitive humans from the Hayden system. I liked the little surprise at the end which really makes me want to read the next one in the series. It is also said to be the conclusion of the series. This is an extremely minor complaint though.

Task Force Valkryrie starts out doing a run on an Alliance world and prove that they are a force to be dealt with, by using Operator teams and some improvised technology.

Danger in the form of a Alliance flotilla with a more serious race, that have experience in space fighting. Our favorite Operator Sorilla, is also determined to end the Alliance special forces occupation in the jung The war in the Hayden System continues.

It is non stop action from when she heads down the tether to her encounters with the aliens. The only thing more exciting is the battle raging above the planet and throughout the Hayden system! The only thing that bugged me was the surprise at the end. There should have been more communications with Earth and some type of info should have made it to the Hayden earlier.

I would want to give my Admirals as much Intel as is reasonably possible to help them deal with the war front. I will keep quiet about other things so as not to give away any spoilers. There are some editing issues but not so much to ruin the story. I am "patiently" waiting for the fourth book. Great writing, a great plot and great action all come together flawlessly.

In addition to Sorilla Aida being her usual awesome, kick butt, insane stunt pulling self we once again see more from the aliens point of view. It was great to see how the alien races think and view the humans as well as more of how their space tactics work. It seems that one Alliance race has started a war and now some of the others are being dragged along This military sci fi series once again leaves an impressive mark!

Both sides have tricks up their sleeves and both come away with some nasty wounds. The book closes with both sides calling or ready to call in bigger fleets. A seriously huge battle is obviously coming and I have no doubt that it's going to be a crazy one. Sorilla continues to be a fantastic character. Wherever she goes explosions are bound to follow. She is a strong military woman in every sense and a great character to follow but even she has her limits and worries which we see a glimpse of in this book.

I love the fact that there are so many great women in this book all of them very well written and developed. Once again this was a fantastic book and another wonderful entry in the series.
