Royal free clinical trials

Find out about participating in a trial. Our clinical trials unit is an integral part of the rheumatology and pulmonary hypertension departments. Not all our trials involve medications — some of the studies are observational, in which information is gathered but no new experimental therapy is involved.

The ability to carry out early stage research into rare diseases, long-term conditions and viruses such as COVID has taken a leap forwards thanks to the opening of a new clinical research facility CRF at the Royal Free London.
